LODGEMENT & ENQUIRY OFFICER

About the role:

The Hills Shire Council is seeking a part-time Lodgement & Enquiry Officer, responsible for direct delivery of the full range of council services through council's multi channelled customer service branch, handling enquiries in face to face, call centre, back office and mail room environments. The role has a particular focus on the timely and effective lodgement of applications to council standards, and the provision of quality pre-lodgement development advice.

Duties include:

  • Process customer transactions.
  • Review incoming development applications.
  • Resolve customer phone and online enquiries.
  • Maintain the development tracking system.
  • Process rezoning, development, building and/or subdivision applications.

About you:

To be considered for this role you will be will possess:

  1. Minimum Certificate IV in a related field / currently undertaking or willing to undertake relevant study, plus 3 - 5 years relevant work experience essential
  2. Experience in a high volume, fast paced customer focused service environment
  3. Proven experience in the use of technology for service delivery
  4. Experience handling a wide range of applications relating to development
  5. Experience in dealing with challenging customer interactions
  6. Working knowledge of relevant development and privacy legislation.
  7. Experience with the NSW Planning Portal (desirable).

Position details:

Position Number S1042, Permanent Part Time 14 hours per week (Thursday & Friday)

Salary: From $40.16 per hour + Superannuation
