FITNESS TRAINERS (2 x Permanent Part-time roles)
About the role: Dive into a new role at Waves Fitness and Aquatic Centre
Would you enjoy being part of the inaugural Fitness Centre Team launching the brand new Aquatic and Fitness Centre in the Sydney Hills in 2022? The Hills Shire Council is currently seeking experienced and suitably qualified Fitness Trainers (2 Part Time roles) to be responsible for supervision of the public and members using the Fitness Centre and provide assistance and advice relating to Health and Fitness programs. The new $55m fitness and aquatic centre is now under construction with opening expected in September 2022. The complex will include a 10-lane 50m outdoor Olympic-sized pool, additional 25m outdoor pool and two indoor learn to swim and leisure pools, along with water play area, and a fully equipped fitness centre. The part time roles will commence prior to the complex opening, and you will be assisting the Team Leader Fitness Centre with start-up operations. - Supervise patrons using the Fitness centre and Group Fitness Areas.
- Ensure patrons are abiding by fitness centre conditions of entry and centre rules.
- Tour potential new members of the Fitness Centre providing advice on membership options
- Provide patrons where required with correction and education whilst using fitness equipment.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Relevant Qualifications in Fitness, (Certificate 3 or 4)
- First Aid - (HLTAID003)
- Drivers Licence (Class C) - NSW
Permanent part-time roles, W0280 and W0281, Salary: From $28.22 to $29.75 per hour + Superannuation.
Both positions are 19 hours per week.
Position 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8.30am-12.30pm and Thursday and Friday 8.30am-12pm.
Position 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 4.00pm-8pm and Thursday and Friday 4.00pm-7.30pm.
