LIBRARY TRAINEE - UP TO 18 MONTHS

About the role:

Earn while you learn! The Hills Shire Council is looking for a Library Trainee who will combine study with valuable on-the-job training to gain skills and be provided with a live environment to practice knowledge learnt.

Upon completion you will receive a formal qualification - Certificate III in Library and Information Services. Commencement from February 2022.

Candidates who have completed a traineeship or qualification above Cert II in Library Studies or associated field are NOT eligible to apply for this position

Duties include:

  • Work at any of Council's libraries as rostered.
  • Process Library and Council services transactions.
  • Resolve customer face to face, phone and online enquiries.
  • Assist in the delivery of programs and activities.
  • Other duties specified by the supervisor/manager.

About you:

To be considered for this role you will be an engaged and motivated individual and will possess:

  1. HSC or equivalent
  2. Driver's License (Class C)
  3. Working with Children Check

Position details:

Temporary Full Time Role - up to 18 months, Position Number TR822, Salary: From $347.10 - $706.00 per week (dependent on how many years out of school) + Superannuation
