About the role:

There is an opportunity for a Civil Works Plant Operator within The Hills Shire Council's Infrastructure and Works Group. You will operate a skid steer loader and drive a truck/trailer combination involved in public construction and maintenance works on roads, parks, footpaths and drainage systems

Duties include:

  • Excavation, loading and lifting of materials
  • Assist with major/minor construction maintenance
  • Carry out excavation and public construction works
  • Checking truck, trailer and loader for water, oil and battery, tyre pressures, ensuring the machine is greased

About you:

To be considered for this role you will possess:

  1. Class HC Motor Vehicle Licence
  2. Experience in the operation of a Skid Steer Loader
  3. NSW (White card) or willingness to obtain
  4. Proven experience as a truck driver including towing
  5. Ability to communicate in both written and oral form
  6. Confident in the use of iPads
