About the role:

There is an opportunity for a Trades Assistant within The Hills Shire Council's Infrastructure and Works Group in our Civil Works Team.

Duties include:

  • To assist with a variety of trade related duties such as:
    • Maintenance of street/park furniture, play grounds
    • Painting
    • metal/steel fabrication
    • Park/road signage
    • Concreting and minor paving

About you:

To be considered for this role you will possess:

  1. Trade qualifications and/or experience in a building trade related field
  2. Class C Motor Vehicle Licence
  3. Class MR Vehicle Licence (or willingness to obtain)
  4. Induction training for construction work in NSW (Whitecard) or the willingness to obtain
  5. Sound knowledge of WHS practices
  6. Ability to communicate in both written and oral form
