An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Forward Planning Team in contributing to the overall planning and management of development and growth in The Hills.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Town Planner who will undertake research and prepare policies and professional reports in relation to strategic and regulatory planning matters.
The role has an impact upon the future growth and development of the Hills Shire community through the delivery of planning policy at a local scale, including the Local Strategy, Precinct Planning, Local Environmental Plans, Development Control Plans and planning for appropriate levels of services and infrastructure to accommodate future communities.
The successful candidate will have:
- Qualification in Town Planning or related field such as Economics, Architecture, Environmental Science, Geography or similar, with a minimum of 3 years' experience
- Demonstrated skills in the assessment of planning proposals, Development Control Plan amendments and Voluntary Planning Agreements
- Skills in Town Planning and Urban Design, recreation and social planning and land development
- Communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, project management, strategic analysis and interpretation, research and documentation skills
- Class C Motor Vehicle Licence
This is a permanent full time position (35 hours per week) Position No. S0182
Salary: $90K+ pa plus Superannuation and Car Allowance
