An opportunity exists for a motivated and engaged individual to join our Community Outcomes Team to project manage major events and activities.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Events Officer to provide technical and operational support to the Coordinator Community and Events to deliver the Council Events program such as OBF, Australia Day, Citizenship and other events as required. This position is the 2IC to the Coordinator Community and Events.
The successful candidate will share our organisations commitment to providing value to our customers, approaching tasks enthusiastically and working collaboratively with their team.
The successful candidate will have:
- Event Management tertiary qualifications and/or Event experience in a similar capacity or minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position
- Experience in leading teams
- Knowledge of contemporary trends and best practice in event management
- Ability to influence, engage and gain cooperation with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- High level conflict management and customer service skills
- Current Class C Drivers Licence
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends when required
This is a permanent full-time role (35 hours per week) - Position No. S0386
Salary: $75K+ pa plus Superannuation
