An opportunity exists for a motivated and engaging individual to join our Rates Team, who shares our organisations commitment to providing value to our customers and working collaboratively with their team.

This position forms a part of the Rates Team, within the Finance Business Program, being responsible for assisting with the coordination of timely and accurate rates levy, supplementary levies, debt recovery, categorisation changes and daily/monthly reporting, customer enquiries and rating advice.

The position assists the Rates team in the ongoing development and maintenance of Council's rating strategies, policies, procedures and systems to ensure that statutory requirements are met. The candidate will be involved in the development of rating systems to enhance the quality and timeliness of rating and debt recovery information provided to customers.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Higher School Certificate
  • Minimum 3 + years' Local Government rating experience
  • Experience in processing Supplementary levies
  • Working knowledge of legislation pertaining to Local Government rating
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated experience with working under pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience of dealing with sensitive and confidential information
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

This is a permanent full-time role. 35 hours per week - Position No. S0837

Salary Range: $71,119 - $83,685 pa + Superannuation
