COORDINATOR - VEGETATION MAINTENANCE

An opportunity exists for a motivated and dedicated individual to join the Vegetation Works Team.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to coordinate activities of staff and contractors engaged in planned maintenance of Council's vegetation and sportsgrounds, including mowing of sports fields and garden areas and coaching, inspecting and monitoring work out in the field. This position will also provide high level technical advice to the Manager - Vegetation Works on issues or matters affecting their team, assets or services.

The successful candidate will have a flexible and adaptable approach to their work and share our team's commitment to providing value to our customers, approaching tasks enthusiastically and working together as a team.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in horticulture, arboriculture or a related field
  • Significant experience in a role within the arboriculture or horticulture field
  • Extensive experience in the supervision and coordination of staff
  • A minimum of a current class C drivers licence, with willingness to obtain a MR Licence
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Familiar with the use of PC based technology

This is a permanent full-time role (38 hours per week) - Position No. W0238

Salary Range: $78,655 - $83,685 pa + Superannuation + Council to and from Vehicle
