An opportunity exists for an individual who enjoys working outdoors and taking initiative to join our Civil Works Team to complete a variety of tasks associated with maintenance and construction of Council's Civil Infrastructure.

Reporting to the Coordinator Planned Civil you will be responsible for undertaking the construction and maintenance of Council's concrete infrastructure including kerb and gutter, footpaths, driveway crossings and drainage structures whilst supervising one other staff member. This hand's on role is responsible for the team delivering quality concrete tasks safely and efficiently.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Trade certificate in Civil Construction/Maintenance or relevant concreting experience
  • MR drivers licence or willingness to obtain
  • WorkCover NSW Construction Induction Training ‘Whitecard'
  • Extensive experience in concrete/civil construction
  • Experience in the supervision and co-ordination of staff, plant and materials
  • Ability to communicate in both oral and written form
  • Confident in the use of an IPad

This is a permanent full-time role - 38 hour week

Salary Range: $63,649 - $68,182 pa + Superannuation
